News Title : YES- 2015!
The annual Christian discipleship program dubbed ‘Youth Evangelism School’ was successful. The 42nd edition of YES-2015 brought together the teens, young adults, and elderly from four different regions namely: the Northern, Eastern, Volta, and Greater Accra and they were from 24 different churches.

Daily activities begun from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm and for the entire two weeks, participants were privileged to learn from seasoned speakers. They had lessons on topics such as ‘Why and how should I get married, Using drama for evangelism, Leadership (What and How?), Basic youth conflict and how to solve them, Nutrition and Healthy living, How to influence your friends for Christ and a whole lot more.

Students were excited to go out and evangelize to people and their enthusiasm was evident in the impact they made. From the two days outreach, 539 number of people gave their lives to Christ and 70 people rededicated their lives making 609 altogether! To most of them, it was their first experience of witnessing about Christ to others and although they were nervous from the beginning they were grateful for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. The outreach did not only build their confidence in approaching people to evangelize but it also gave them the zeal to always reach out to lost souls.

The 46th anniversary of YAFCA Ministries coupled with the 41st anniversary of YES were duly recognized. The grand homecoming of YES Alumini brought together YES participants from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. They were full of praise for the tremendous change and value that YES made and added to their lives. They attributed their current positions in society to the Christian ethics that were inculcated in their lives during their stay at YES. They vowed to support the Ministry in the running of YES both spiritually and physically in order to give more youth the opportunity to benefit from the life changing experience that YES offers.

The participants were honored to meet and challenged by their testimonies to make an impact in their society after YES. Rev. Dr. John Owusu-Afriyie (Director General – YAFCA Ministries), charged the participants to change the world in deeds and in words on the eve of the final day of the program, 17th August, 2015.
